Support Sqizzi
Sqizzi is free, has no ads, no account and no tracking — and it stays that way. If the app saves you space and you'd like to say thanks, you can chip in. It is completely optional and unlocks nothing: every feature is already yours.

Open RevolutFrequently asked questions
Are my originals modified or deleted?
No. Compression always creates a new copy, saved with the original capture date so it appears next to the original in your gallery. An original is deleted only when you explicitly choose Replace — after the compressed copy has been saved and after the system asks you to confirm. Nothing happens automatically, and cancelling the system prompt stops the batch without losing saved copies.
Does Sqizzi upload my photos or videos?
No. The app contains no networking code. Scanning, compression, comparison and saving all happen on your device, which is why Sqizzi works with no internet connection at all. See the privacy policy for details.
What does Sqizzi collect about me?
Nothing. No account, no analytics, no advertising, no crash-reporting SDKs, no device identifiers. The only data we ever see is what you choose to send us by email.
Why does Sqizzi need access to my photos?
To measure what is taking up space (file size, resolution, duration, HDR), show thumbnails, and save compressed copies. Scanning reads metadata only — originals are never copied or downloaded just to be measured. On Android you can grant partial access, choosing exactly which items the app can see.
What happens with photos stored in iCloud?
If iOS needs to download an iCloud-only item before compressing it, that download is handled by Apple's Photos system under your iCloud settings. Sqizzi never receives your Apple account credentials and never uploads anything; the compression itself still happens entirely on your device.
Which formats are supported?
Photos: JPEG, HEIC/HEIF and PNG are re-encoded, with a fallback to JPEG where HEIC encoding is unavailable. WebP can be read and decoded. Videos: MOV and MP4 with H.264 or HEVC. Live Photos, slow-motion videos and animated GIFs are detected and reported as not supported yet, rather than converted incorrectly. Whenever HDR, resolution, frame rate or metadata cannot be preserved, the app tells you before and after the run.
How do I know the quality is still good?
Use the Compare screen: original and compressed side by side, with real size, dimensions, codec and bitrate figures, plus PSNR for photos. Presets start conservative — Maximum Quality keeps resolution, frame rate and metadata — and you can fine-tune every parameter if you want to experiment.
Can I get a replaced original back?
No. Once the system's deletion confirmation is accepted, the original is permanently deleted. This is why nothing is replaced automatically, and why we recommend keeping backups of media you cannot afford to lose.
Is Sqizzi free? Are there ads?
Yes, free, with no ads and no account. There is nothing to unlock by giving up your data — your data never leaves your device in the first place.
What do I need to run it?
iOS 15.1 or later, or Android 7.0 (API 24) or later. The app is a native build for phones; compression runs with the device's own hardware encoders, so newer devices compress faster.
Something looks wrong
If a file fails to compress, the app reports it — usually because the format is one of the "not supported yet" cases (Live Photos, slow-motion video, animated GIF) or the item is stored only in iCloud and could not be downloaded. Try updating to the latest version, or email us with the file type and what you saw. Please don't send us your actual media — we don't need it, and we'd rather it stayed on your device.
